1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to Visit Reggio Calabria. By booking or utilizing any of our private tour itineraries, NCC (Noleggio Con Conducente / Chauffeur) services, roots & ancestry excursions, or bespoke travel consulting, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

Please review these terms carefully prior to confirming your booking. Throughout this agreement, terms such as “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Visit Reggio Calabria, while “client”, “guest”, “you”, and “your” refer to the customer booking our services.

2. Bookings & Reservations

Reservations become legally binding only upon written confirmation from Visit Reggio Calabria and receipt of the required deposit or payment.

• Custom & Private Tours: A deposit (typically 30%) is required at the time of booking to secure luxury vehicles, private driver schedules, and expert local guides.
• Final Payment: The remaining balance must be settled no later than 14 days prior to the start date of the tour, unless explicit cash-on-arrival terms have been established in writing.

3. Heritage & Genealogy Excursions

For ancestral roots tours and archival document searches, Visit Reggio Calabria acts as an expert facilitator with local Italian municipal offices and church registries.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@visitreggiocalabria.com. Cancellations take effect on the date written notice is received.

• 30+ Days Before Departure: Full refund minus administrative processing fees (and non-refundable third-party deposits such as boat charters or private estate tickets).
• 14 to 29 Days Before Departure: 50% refund of total trip price.
• Fewer than 14 Days / No-Show: Non-refundable.

5. Private Transport & Chauffeur Services

All private chauffeur services (e.g., Mercedes V-Class transfers) are operated in strict compliance with Italian highway codes and Italian NCC regulations.

• Luggage Restrictions: Guests must inform us in advance if party luggage exceeds standard allowances to ensure vehicle capacity compliance.
• Passenger Behavior: Smoking, illegal substances, and behavior compromising safety are strictly prohibited in all luxury vehicles.

6. Limitation of Liability & Travel Insurance

Visit Reggio Calabria maintains full professional insurance as required under Italian law. However, we strongly recommend that all international guests purchase comprehensive personal travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, flight delays, and personal property losses.

We are not liable for injury, damage, or loss caused by third-party vendors (independent restaurants, regional ferries, or private accommodations) booked as part of custom itineraries.

7. Force Majeure

Visit Reggio Calabria shall not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, or itinerary modifications resulting from events beyond reasonable control. This includes natural disasters, severe coastal weather conditions affecting boat tours, strikes, government restrictions, or road closures across mountain passes in Apennine Calabria.

8. Contact & Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Reggio Calabria, Italy.
