Covid: vaccinated American tourists return to book tours in Sicily, groups over 60 arriving in spring.
In a black moment for tourism, a decisive sector for the Italian economy, a glimmer of hope comes from the Sicilian capital: American tourists reappear in Palermo.
Visitors from the US are booking hotels and restaurants in the period between late May and June.
Small groups of over 60 who have already been vaccinated or who will be vaccinated before leaving for Sicily are being reviewed.
“We have finally received the phone call we have been waiting for months – comments Doriana Ribaudo, owner of the Osteria Ballarò, in the historic center of Palermo – We will finally return to host American tourists: three dates, in early summer, with the presence of small groups”.
Tourists, due to the pandemic, had forcibly canceled the tour booking scheduled for 2020.
